Hey Family,
How is everything going? It sounds like you are doing great! Well we got out transfer calls last on Saturday... and I am staying in Sando... My companion is Elder Watchman... and I am the senior companion. It was a little bit of a shock, and I am not going to lie, I am really nervous. In the MTC we didnt get along all that well, but I feel like out here it is going to be alot better! I am really excited though and extremely greatful for the opportunity. Well, we had a really good week this week. It has rained alot like always, but I am surviving. Early on in the week, we found some really cool investigators that I am really excited about. Elder Watchman hasn't been able to baptize yet so I want more than anything to baptize this transfer. On tuesday, we found a man with a family named brother Griffith. He is really cool, and has ALOT of questions. He has a really strong desire to find out if what we shared is true, and we are going to meet with him some more this week. Then on thursday, we decided to do some finding in an area that we had never really been. Before we started we said a prayer and asked Heavenly Father to guide us to a family that has been prepared to hear the gospel. Well we went down a road and for the first time in my mission, I was actually knocking on doors instead of calling in. Haha I didnt like it at all! Anyways in the 5th house we knocked on we found a lady named Sheri. She was really interested, and loved the restoration. We kept on going door to door down the street, until we came to a house where the family was sitting outside. We started talking to them and they told us to sit down. His name is Lakhan, and the lesson went great. We invited him to pray about it, and when we came back the next day, it was obvious that he had felt the spirit very strong. It was really cool, and I am praying that we will be able to help him progress in this gospel. I really dont feel like I am ready to be a senior companion, because I have so much to learn, but if there is one thing that I do know, is that the lord doesnt give us any task that we cannot fulfill. It is going to be weird to serve with someone other than Elder Kaelin, but it will be good at the same time. Him and I have gotten along really well, and in the past couple of weeks we have been teaching really well together. Well, besides all of that, it was a pretty boring week in Sando. It sounds like you guys are extremely busy and having alot of fun. Sorry this email is so short, but I am sure I will have more to write about next week. I love you all and remember that the church is true. Keep me updated on everything that is going on.
Love you tons!
Elder Gines
