Crazy Week!

Hey Family,

How is everything going back at home? Things are going pretty well here in trinidad, and I cannot complain. This week was an interesting one, but we made it through it. So on Tuesday, our fridge in our apartment broke, so we had to go fridge shopping, so that took a couple of hours out of our day, then wednesday, the fridge had to get delivered and guess when they told us it would get there??? Well I guess they decided to leave no room for error, so they just told us anytime after lunch... so we pretty much just had to wait all day for it to get there, and it didnt get there until about 3:30 so we only had half a day to work also! Then to make matters even better, on Thursday we were told that we needed to go up to Valsayn and get physicals so that I could finally get my visa and be legally here. By the time friday came around, we thought we were going to have a full day to work, and we had alot of people to see. For lunch we decided to grab some chinese food, but it was from a place that I hadnt had before. Right after we ate, we didnt feel very good, but eventually it went away. We did a little bit of finding, but didnt have much success, and we had a dinner appointment at a members house for the evening. We caught a taxi to go out to there house, and in the taxi I started feeling really sick. When we got out of the taxi, Elder Watchman said that he felt like he was going to throw up too, so we decided to head back. When we got back to San Fernando, to make matters worse, it started pouring rain! We walked home, and I was starting to feel a little bit better, but elder watchman on the other hand, looked like he was about to die. When we got home, he started throwing up, so we couldnt work friday night either! By saturday morning he was feeling better and we FINALLY got a full day of missoinary work in! Haha it felt so good! So yeah, it was just a little bit of a crazy week. But at church yesterday, we had 4 Investigators there! We were able to find a ride for Lahkan, and then a part member family that we have been working with came also. We were able to meet with Lahkan a couple of times this week, and it has gone pretty well. He is a great guy, but in a very difficult situation. I have been praying for him constantly, so hopefully everything works out. I am finally getting the hang of being the senior companion, and I am not going to lie, at first it was a little bit rough. Elder Watchman and I have been getting along much better though, and things are going great! I love it out here, and I am so greatful for the opportunity I have to devote 2 years to serving the lord. It truely is a huge blessing! Thank you for the pictures! This week I sent home a SD card, so look for it in the mail! It has alot of videos on it. Well I better get going, I love you all and I hope that you all have a great week!

Love,
Elder Gines
